Wojohn reccognized

Cathy Cox honored Anna Caroline
Wojohn of The Westfield Schools with
an Excellence in Citizenship award.
Wojohn received a certificate signed
by Secretary Cox and a letter from
her office.
For the ninth year, the Excellence
in Citizenship Awards recognize high
school seniors from across the state
who voluntarily give of their time in
the community, maintain a good scho
lastic and attendance record and,
through their leadership, set an exam
ple for their fellow peers. Designed
to distinguish outstanding young
Georgians who reach out to others
and share their time and talents, one
graduating senior from each Georgia
high school was nominated to receive
the award.
Of Georgia's 386 public high
schools and 274 independent schools
with high school-level instruction, 345
schools participated in this year’s pro
gram.

Family, fun, fireworks and
great music will all be a part
of the free festivities held
at the McConnell-Talbert
Stadium on South Davis
Drive Friday night.
Country music artist John
Berry, who has multiple gold
and platinum albums and
nominations from the County
Music Association, the
Academy of Country Music
and the Grammies, will per
form with the Band of the
U.S. Air Force Reserve at the
23rd annual Independence
Day Celebration.
Berry, who has never per
formed in Warner Robins,
said, “I was thrilled when
they invited me to do it .I’m
excited to perform with the
Air Force Band.”
Berry will be perform
ing several songs off his
soon-to-be released album,
“Those Were the Days,”
which is expected to be out
in September and will be
available at Wal-Mart and
Johnberry.com.
Along with the Band of
the U.S. Air Force Reserve,
Berry will be perform
ing with his wife, Robin,
and pianist, John Hall.

County objects
to Langston
annexations

Commission voted unani
mously during their meet
ing against two annexa
tion requests from the city
Perry.
Commissioner Larry
Thomson, said the objection
is based on the proposed
land use of about 206 acres
on Langston Road near Ga.
127. The property is zoned
Residential-Agricultural in
the county and the requests
are to develop conservation
subdivisions.

that 46.1 acres would be
rezoned to R-2A (single fam
ily residential, with 12,000
squhre foot lot minimum)
in Perry. He had another
request for 7.57 acres in
the same area, which was
approved as it would remain

Berry giving album sneak peak

Warner Robins will get a
live sneak preview Friday
night of some of country
music artist John Berry’s
new songs on his soon-to
be released album, “Those
R-AG.
The other request, which
was denied was for 153

The attorney for Jack and
Clay Smith, David Moore,
asked for some clarification
and noted- his clients are
willing to present plans to
resolve the objections. He
also asked for clarification.

Roman
pleads
guilty

Anthony Roman pleaded
guilty to several charges
from two indictments on
crimes committed last year.
Roman, 45, of 209 Chisom
Trail, Bonaire, entered
guilty pleas Thursday to dis
tribution of material depict
ing nudity or sexual conduct
(three counts), possession
of marijuana (less than one
ounce), possession of hydro
codone, and drugs not kept
in original container. The
drug charges stem from the
Aug. 5 search of his resi
dence stemming from June
8 complaints about leaving
the photos on the mirrors of
two vehicles. A third photo
was left on July 16.
Assistant District Attorney
Jeff Lasseter said one of the
photos depicted a male in
woman’s clothing showing
his genitals. “The other pho
tos were more graphic and
sexual in nature,” he told
the judge.
Investigators from the
Sheriffs office executed a
search warrant on Roman’s
Bonaire home on Aug. 5 and
found more of the photo
graphs as well as hydroco
done (15 pills) and mari
juana (less than one ounce).
Based on the search, he was
also charged with felony pos
session of hyrocodone, pos
session of marijuana, less
than one ounce, and drugs
not in original container.
While out on $7,200 bond
on those charges, on Sept.
30, 2005, Roman fled from a
