Counsel and pro se litigants in all lis

Court for the Civil Non-Jury Trial Cal
endar on September 14, 2016, at
9:00 A.M. in Courtroom B on the
Second Floor of the Judicial Tower,
located at 556 N. McDonough Street,
Decatur, Georgia 30030. Corpora
tions must be represented by coun
sel in all actions filed on or after June
5, 1997. Eckles v. Atlanta Techno
logy Group, Inc., 267 Ga. 801, 485
S. E. 2d 22 (1997). Counsel and
parties should appear with their wit
nesses, ready to proceed to trial at
that time. All conflicts shall be
handled as required by Georgia Uni
form Court Rule 17.1. Attendees at
the Non-Jury Trial Calendar must
have express authority to settle the

Court for the Division VII Civil Pre-tri
al Conference Calendar on Septem
ber 14, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. The pur
pose of this Conference is to determ
ine the status of the case, resolve re
maining issues, and schedule the
case for trial.
A Consolidated Pre-Trial Order will
be due sixty (60) days before trial,
but the Order need not be pre
pared for the Pre-Trial Conference.
At the Pre-trial Conference, counsel
and parties representing themselves
must be prepared to address any re
maining discovery issues, all pending
or anticipated motions, chances of
settlement, length of trial, number of
jurors, jury pre-qualifications, and

(Civil Motions Calendar)
Pending motions which are ripe for
decision are hereby placed on the
Civil Motions Calendar scheduled for
September 22, 2016, at 9:00 A.M. in
Courtroom B on the second floor of
the Judicial Tower, located at 556 N.
McDonough Street, Decatur, Geor
gia 30030. All parties and counsel
are required to appear at the call of
the Calendar and should be pre
pared to proceed with argument at
that time.
The Court hereby advises all parties
that a corporation must be represen
ted by an attorney in any civil pro
ceeding in this Court. Eckles v. At
lanta Technology Group, Inc., of this
Calendar will not be heard during this
calendar, and such corporate party
risks the court taking appropriate ac
tion including, but not limited to, judg
ment for the opposing the party or
dismissal of the claim or motion.
Counsel for the corporate party must
either appear in Court or must have
filed a written entry of appearance on
behalf of the corporation before the
call of the Calendar.

The removal of any motion from this
calendar shall be by Order of the
Court only. A Motion for Continuance
must be made in writing at least ten
days before the hearing, and an Or
der must be submitted. If a case has
settled or the issues have been re

simpso@dekalbcountyga.gov, and
follow-up with a pleading confirming
withdrawal of the motion or other dis
position.
Failure to respond to the notice to ap
pear at the Motions Calendar may
result in the dismissal of the pending
motion or in any other action the
Court may deem appropriate.
