JELL-0
Facts.
JEC.I.-0 doesn 't have to be soaked,
or sweetened, or cooked?or guessed
at as to the result.
This is the regular JELI.-O process
:
Pat tbe JELL-O Into a nlnt
(of boiling water and tben
cool it.
That is all; and it will be just as
good as you expect and want it to
be, every time.
What a wonderful amount of
time and money it saves and what
a sense of satisfaction it brings I
Never before JELL-O'S day has
there been a dessert so easy to
luake or so delicious and beautiful
when made.
Women everywhere say they
constantly find new delights in the
simple manipulation of Jell-O;
the best grocers of America declare
they sell more Jell-O than all
other dessqft preparations combined
; physicians and nurses insist
very frequently that their patients,
especially the convalescents, shall
have JEEE-O as part, at least, of
their diet

A WORD ABOUT DECORATING THE
HOUSE ON THE OUT8IDE.
There is nothing in all this world that
gives out more real, pure joy th&n a
flower garden. Many who would like
to have this luxury are handicaDned bt
not having enough ground space and
therefore have to go all summer long
without the inspiring, uplifting association
of flowers and plants. Here is an
idea which has been carried out by many
who live in apartments and has proved
as successful as a large "real" dower
garden. It is a garden that you can bring
right up to your bed-room windows and
have the beautiful bright things greet
you smilingly every morning and all day
long.
If you have not a wooden box six
inches deep and six inches wide which
will go across your poroh railing or window
sill, have one made. The box, if
it is made, should be eight inches deep
and the same width, allowing one end
of the bottom of the box to slope where
there is an opening to allow for drain
age. Cover the bottom of this box with
small stones or charcoal, which is better
than stones, then fill with rich, well
sifted earth, using old manure. Now,
you have everything ready for your flower
garden.
Red and white geraniums are all summer
flowers and they are always pleasing
in a box-garden, but do not mix
them. Plant, all red in one box and all
white geraniums in anolher box, as they
are more effective when planted in this
way. Dwarfed petunias are also beautiful
and can be procured ia so many
different shades and colors, while they
have a delicate fragrance. I have heard
of the "purple perfume of petunias" and
the adjective seems suitably descriptive.

the white or among the red geraniums
Is very filling, as well as pretty, and
red and white verbenas go hand in hand
with the candy-tuft. Nasturtiums are always
graceful, fragrant and beautiful and
bloom all summer, while the richness of
their beauty enhances the charm of this
box-garden. Some pretty trailing plant
should be added to these flowers so that
it will grow downward over the front of
the box and the box should be painted
green or of the color of your house.
Care should be taken to water these
plants every morning and evening and a
| little digging around them occasionally
would encourage them, assuring them
that "they are not forgotten.I am
sure that I need not give any more Instructions,
as every one who knows anything
abotit the care of flowers, knows
what to do in this case as well as in
others.
