Rev. Jonas Barclay writes as follows:
"I assisted Rev. J. T. Wade in a meeting
lasting eignt davs at Tunnel win
Sunday, June 2(. Tnough tbe farmers
were too busy to attend at this time of
the year, after so much rain, the interest
was good, and we trust that the little
band was distinctly encouraged and
strengthened. 1 here were a number of
children's sermons during the meeting,
and one little girl about twelve years of
age, united with the church. Mr. Wade,
who came to this group of churches last
January, has won the love of his people
and his field shows many gratifying evidences
of progress made during the past
year. My appointments for meetings during
the summer are as follows: July 30
to August 9, at Midway; August 15-27, at
Chickamauga (Stone church); August 28
to September 3, at Beersheba; September
4-13 at Sardis."
