that they are the best the road ever

In addition to the quickening up of 'he
time to Florida and the restoration of the
famous “Cincinnati and Florida Limited”
vestibule train which is now in the fourth
year of its existence and increasing yearly !
in popularity, the local business has not '
been forgotten and the representatives of
the E. F., V. & G. can now offer to the
traveling public schedules in eveiy di
rection unsurpassed by any line.
The figures at Romo are as follows:
The “Cincinnati and Florida Limited”
will pass R ima at 8:35 a. m. arriving in
Atlanta 11:10 a. m., and running between
Atlanta and Macon in the unprecedented
time of two hours and twenty-nine
minutts, dashing onto Jacksonville ar
riving 10:40 p. m. It seems a'most in
credible that any one will be able to leave
Rome in the morning and arrive in Jack
sonville by bed time, but it becomes a '
fact wi h this schedule. It is unnecces- !
sary to comment on the elegant equip
ment which comprises this train.
The ocher fait train passes Rome at
11:10 . m arriving in Atlanta 1:50 a. m.,
and Jacksonville atl p tn. the same day.
A local train making all stops between

where connection is made with trains in
all directions. At Chattanooga, trains
for Memphis and the west leave im
mediately upon its arrival, and also the
celebiated Washington and Chattanooga
limited leaves for the east.
Then comes along a local train at 11:10
a. m., making all stops between Rome and
Chattanooga.
The old reliable Cincinnati and Chicago
express passes at 4:45 p. m., arriving at
Chattanooga at 7:10 p. m., and Cincin
nati 7:20 a. m.
Alabama division train No. 3 leaves
Rome at 11:35 a. m., returning arrives at
Rome 4:35 p. tn.

A Card From W. M. Bridges.
Editor Tribune:—Allow me, in be
half of myself and family, to return our
sincere thanks to our neighbors and
friends for their earnest efforts in helping
rescue our home from the flames of yes
terday.
We were made to fed the force of the
old adage, “It is an ill wind that blows
no body auy good.” But for the strong
northeast wind, which drove the fire
from us, and the prompt and heroic ef
forts of our friends, our home would
have been burned to ashes. We arettuly
thankful to a kind Providence and our
friend i for our deliverance.
