TCHS Players All-Region
Aquatic Facility Opens;
Swim Lessons To Be Held

The Vidalia Aquatic
Facility will open on Satur
day May 29. The pool will
be open from 12-6 each
day The facility will be
closed on Mondays for
maintenance, except for on
Memorial Day when the
pool will be open its nor
mal hours.
Children two and un
der are free, for all others
the cost is $5. Season
passes are available for
$75. Passes exclude special
events.
The pool will be also
be holding registration for
swimming lessons from
May 24 - June 4. The first
session will be June 7-11,
and the second sessions
will be from June 14 - June
18. Each day of lessons
ages 5 - 6 will be from 9:30
-10:30 a.m., and then ages
7-8 will be from 10:45 -
11:45 a.m.
Regestration can be
done online at secure.recl.
com/vidalia-ga/catalog. A
birth certificate is required
and a child must be the age
above at the time the
classes are taught.

The Toombs County
High School Bulldogs
baseball team had several
players named to the Re
gion 2AA All-Region
Team. In a very good Re
gion that saw Toombs
make it to the playoffs,
along with Vidalia into
the Elite 8 and the Yel
low Jackets of Jeff Davis
winning the State Cham
pionship in AA.
Even with such a
tough Region, the Bull
dogs had three players
named to the All-Region
First Team, with four
more on the Second
Team. For the First Team
All-Region Jason Dukes
was named as catcher,
Chase Musselman was
named as a utility player
and Chandler Lynn
earned his spot in the
outfield.
Second Team honor-
ees were Logan Knight
and Brantley Upshaw at
pitcher, Trey Harris at
third base, and Gray Ste
phens as the designated
hitter.
The Bulldogs had an
overall record of 16-13
on the year and fought
back at the end of the
season to earn the #4
seed heading to the State
Playoffs.
