VHS Softball Camp

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The County of Montgomery is advertising for bids from D.O.T. qualified
contractors for a 2022 LMIG funded road project. The scope of work includes
six (6) inch mixed in place soil cement surfaced with triple surface treatment,
stone size 6, 7 and 89 with sand seal W-10. Grassing shoulders and front
slope will be required. All work and materials, including surface treatment
and striping, should be performed in accordance with D.O.T. specifications.
The project will be performed on 0.50 miles of Scarlett O’Hara Dr. (CR 233)
located in the Tara Plantation Subdivision.
Bid proposal forms may be obtained at the County Commissioners Office.
Bids may be delivered to the Montgomery County Commissioners Office at
310 West Broad Street, Mount Vernon, Georgia or mailed to P.O. Box 295,
Mount Vernon, GA 30445. Bids will be opened at the Montgomery County
Commissioners Office on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM.
A 5% bid bond must be executed and presented with the bid proposal. An
E-Verify Contractor Affidavit, Certificate of Insurance and Performance Bond
will be required of the contractor.

1. Must be in the judgment of the appointing Grand Jury, qualified and
competent to serve as a Grand Juror;
2. Must own real property;
3. Be a high school graduate;
4. Not be a member of county or municipality governing authority, board of
education, or board of assessors, or employee of the county board of tax
assessors, or county tax appraiser;
5. Members must complete a 40-hour course of training within the first year
of appointment;
6. An 8-hour recertification training course per year is required thereafter.

The City of Lyons Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on July
20, 2021, at 6:00 pm. Todd Padget submitted an application requesting a
variance for parcel L10-047 to place a mobile classroom for the current
daycare. 1.47 acres.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation on
the request. The City Council will then hold a Public Hearing and make
a final decision on the request on August 3, 2021, at 6:00 pm.
