Mr. Thomas Craft, Jr.
Mr. Thomas E. Craft,
Jr., age 63, of Lyons, died
on Thursday, July 15, 2021,
at Memorial Health Mead
ows Hospital in Vidalia af
ter a brief illness.
Mr. Craft was a native
of Montgom- - w
a graduate of
Montgomery \
County High '
School, and
lived in Ailey and Lyons
most of his life. He was
a U.S. Navy veteran. He
worked in law enforcement
for many years and recently
retired as a lieutenant from
the Lyons Police Depart
ment. He was preceded
in death by his parents,
Thomas Eugene Craft, Sr.,
and Lois Powell Craft.
The funeral service was
held on Sunday, July 18,
2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the
chapel of Ronald V. Hall
Funeral Home, with John
Moore and Josh Dixon of
ficiating. Burial followed in
Lakeview Memorial Gar
dens.
Pallbearers were the
Lyons Police Department.

Ms. Delene Wilson
Ms. Delene Reynolds
Wilson, age 88, of the Kib-
bee Community, died on
Monday, July 12, 2021, at
her home after an extended
illness.
Ms. Wilson was born
in Treutlen County, grew
up in Tarrytown and was a
1949 graduate of Brewton-
Parker High School. She
moved to Florida in the
early 1950’s and returned
to Montgomery County
in 1993. She retired from
the Florida Department
of Transportation after 30
years. She was preceded
in death by her parents,
Joseph Tillman Reynolds
and Lula Jane Odom Reyn
olds; 6 siblings; and her
daughter, Susan Reynolds
Watson.
Survivors include 3
children, Debbie Reyn
olds Beasley and husband
Hugh of Adrian, Wayne
Wilson of Tarrytown, and
Denise Wilson Harden of
Kibbee; 1 sister, Margie
Right of Kibbee; 5 grand
children, Jonathan Harden,
Tabitha Harden, Andy
Wilson, Amanda Harden
and McKayla Watson; 13
great-grandchildren; 2
great-great-grandchildren;
and numerous nieces and
nephews.

was held on Friday, July 16,
2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the
chapel of Ronald V. Hall
Funeral Home, with Pastor
Albert White officiating.
Burial follow at Midway
United Methodist Church
Cemetery.

Mr. Melvin Jackson
of Uvalda died on July 13,
2021, at Community Hos
pice in Vidalia.
Mr. Jackson was a
native of
Montgomery
County. He
was a retired
trucker and
Staff Sgt. in
the National Guard in Ly
ons. He was a deacon at the
Isle of Hope Missionary
Baptist Church in Uvalda.
He was past district grand
master of Vidalia District
#24, past Worthy Uvalda
Enterprise #263 o.e.c.,
Uvalda, and a member of
Glenwood Lodge #139.
Survivors include
his wife, Clara Jackson,
Uvalda; 1 daughter, An

Mr. James M. “Jimmy”
Fields, age 84, of Vidalia,
died on Tuesday, July 13,
2021, at Memorial Health
Meadows Hospital in Vida
lia after a brief illness.
Mr. Fields was a na
tive of Glenwood and was
a 1955 graduate of Glen
wood High School. He
lived in Wheeler County
until he .
moved to
Toombs
County in
1996 and re
tired from
Container Corporation af
ter 43 years. He was a long
time farmer and a United
States Army Veteran. He
was a member of First
United Methodist Church
of Vidalia, the Men’s Bible
Class, and was also a mem
ber of the American Senior
Golf Club. He was a pilot
and enjoyed making model
airplanes. He was preceded
in death by his parents,
Miles Massey Fields and
Lucile Edge Fields; and 2
sisters, Lera Cooley and
Catherine Lyles.
Survivors include his
wife of 63 years, Jeanette
Pittman Fields of Vidalia;
1 daughter, Eve McDon
ald of Glenwood; 1 sister,
Patricia Outler of Alston;
6 grandchildren, Ashley

Mr. Charles “Gil” Wil
liams, age 81, of Lyons,
died on Wednesday, July
14, 2021, at Memorial
Health Meadows Hospital
in Vidalia.
Mr. Williams was a
native of Bulloch County
and grew up in Brooklet.
He was a 1958 graduate of
Southeast Bulloch High
School and earned a Bach
elor’s degree in Business
Administration from Geor
gia Southern College. He
worked with NCR, First
Bulloch Bank of Statesboro
for 15 years, and worked
with Siefert & Bobbitt As
sociates for several years.
He was a member of First
United Methodist Church
of Lyons, the John Durst
Sunday School Class where
he taught, and served on
various committees in the
church. He was preceded
in death by his parents,
Charles Edward Williams
and Marjorie Mullins Wil
liams.
Survivors include his
wife of 32 years, Kay Carr
Williams of Lyons; 5 chil
dren, Greg Williams of
Byron, Grant Williams of
Midway, Jeffery Williams
and wife Tracy of Waleska,
Carr Newton of Nashville,
TN, and Christian Newton
and wife Jess of Ft. Collins,

Mrs. Lee Burns
Mrs. Lieselotte Ma
ria “Lee” Burns, age 93, of
Adrian, died on July 11,
2021, at Scott Health and
Rehabilitation after an ex
tended illness.
Mrs. Burns was born
in Marburg, Germany, on
April 1, 1928. She survived
the bombings of World
War II as a young teenager.
After losing her mother in a
bombing raid, she learned
how to survive alone in a
war-tom Germany. She
met her husband, Her
bert Burns, when he was
a young soldier stationed
in Germany and they mar
ried in 1956. She became a
citizen of the United States
and was always so proud
to be an American. She
worked with her late hus
band at Wildwood Lake for
many years. She was pre
ceded in death by her par
ents, Wilhelm Fink and Lu-
ise Fink, and her husband,
Herbert E. Burns.
A graveside funer
al service was held on
Wednesday, July 14, 2021,
at 3:30 p.m., at Pinecrest
Cemetery in Vidalia, with
Pastor Efton Green offici
ating.

Mr. Curtis White of
Vidalia died at Memorial
Health in Savannah.
Mr. White was a na
tive of Toombs County.
He worked
as a handy
man and
served in the
U.S. Marine
Corps. He
was preceded in death by
his parents, Galvester and
Antee White.
Survivors include his
wife, Gwendolyn White; 1
daughter, Sarah L. White,
Atlanta; his stepdaughters,
Belinda Lamb, Jennifer
Mody, Lashonda Lamkin,
and Regina Lamb, all of
Vidalia; 1 stepson, The-
owanda Lamb, Vidalia;
and many cousins and
friends.

was held on Saturday, July
17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in
Eternal Glory Gardens.

Mrs. Anderson was a

her life. She worked with
several garment manufac
turers in Toombs County
and was a member of Em
manuel Baptist Church in
Lyons. She was preceded
in death by her husband,
Robert Franklin “Bobby”
Anderson; her parents, Ja

and Della Ann Edwards

age 38, of Vidalia, died on

ter a sudden illness.
Mr. Floyd was born in
Atlanta and
as a child
moved to Mt.
Vernon. After
high school,
he served 14
years in the U.S. Air Force,
serving 1 tour in Afghani
stan. He moved to Vidalia
in 2016, and attended the
Oasis Church of God in
Lyons.
His family includes
2 children, Jade Michelle
Floyd and Rome Nathaniel
Floyd; his mother, Lavon
Trulock of Collins; 2 un
cles, Allen Floyd and Dan
ny Floyd; and soulmate,
Vickie Turner of Toombs
County.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home
on Wednesday, July 21,
2021, from 1:30 until 2:30,
with a graveside funeral
to follow at 3:00 p.m. at
the Mt. Vernon Memorial
Cemetery, with Military
Honors. Bishop Gilbert
Wommack will officiate.
