Georgia's high school
graduation rate for 2023
has shown improvement,
with the state as a whole
witnessing an increase in
the number of students
successfully completing
their high school educa
tion. Toombs County
High School is among the
standouts, with a gradua
tion rate of 95.2% which
exceeds the state aver
age of 84.4%. The 2023
Toombs County High
School graduation rate
climbed over 2% com
pared to the previous
year’s rate.
Toombs County High
School Principal, Mrs. Ma-
rissa Morris, responded
to the graduation rate re
sults and stated, "Toombs
County High School's
four-year cohort gradua
tion rate for the Class of
2023 has reached 95.2%,
surpassing the Class of
2022 rate of 93.1%. This is
the highest ever four-year
cohort graduation rate
for TCHS. This remark-

should all recognize
that the liberal media

“All republicans,
democrats, or inde

to stand for Israel. It is
time to open our eyes
that the Biden admin

send any more
money to Iran. They
are behind this hor

Biden should close
the border and send
all the illegals back to
where they came
from because they
will attack us. We
need to pray for this
nation."
“I just passed
through Madison, GA,
today and I bought
gas for $2.71/gallon

$2.59/gallon. Vidalia,
what's your problem
other than greed?"
“Vidalia High

whole state."
“The decapitation
of infants by Hamas
has been described
by American demo

dedication and hard work
of our students, entire
faculty and staff, parents/
guardians, and the entire
community. It is through
this collective effort that
we can celebrate such an
outstanding achievement
and continue to strive for
excellence in education,
all while focusing on our
overall vision of "Creating
An Exceptional Legacy."
The graduation rate
increase demonstrates the

quality of education and
ensuring that more stu

Superintendent Barry
Waller added, "Our dis

viding the best education

students. The exceptional
act of self defense. I
have no experience
in this, but in my imag

1-year-old babies,
you have the right to
chop their heads off
in self defense."
“Killing babies? I
can’t even wrap my
head around that.
But if you're ok with
murdering your own
unborn children, it's
not that far a stretch
to butcher somebody

“Gas is cheaper in
all the surrounding

“Well, I guess we

Pierce County beat

what a revelation."
“I know Hamas is

In a year when Geor
gia's high school seniors
recorded another historic
four-year graduation rate of
84.4%, Vidalia High School
continued to top the state
rate with a four-year gradu
ation rate of 92.6%, as an
nounced on Tuesday, Octo
ber 10.
"Although the gradu
ation rate is only one mea
sure of how we are perform
ing, we're proud that our
students continue to gradu
ate at a rate that far exceeds
the state average," said Vi
dalia High School Principal
Bruce Mulkey. "Our cohort
graduation rate reflects a
body of work over the last
thirteen years (K-12) that
all of our stakeholders share
responsibility and should
celebrate."
A total of 107 Georgia
school districts recorded
graduation rates at or above
90%. Georgia's statewide
graduation rate has in
creased by 14.7 percentage
points since the state began
using the adjusted cohort
calculation first required
to be calculated in 2011 by
intendent Dr. Garrett Wil
cox said that although there
is still work to be done, he
is pleased with the news.
"While the goal is ultimately
a 100% graduation rate, I
am happy with the informa
tion that we have once again
topped the state average.
A lot of hard work by the
teachers, staff, administra
tion, and parents has made
us successful year after year.
Vidalia Assistant Super
intendent Dr. Sandy Reid
echoed Dr. Wilcox's state
ment, "While we will never
quit striving for 100% grad
uation rate, we recognize all
the hard work of our staff,
parents, and community
that has gone on to have a
graduation rate significantly
higher than the state aver
age. We are proud of the
work that has gone into this
graduation rate and look for
ward to the work required to
watch it climb higher with
each passing year."

savvy to the test!
Level: intermediate
Here’s How It Works:
Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine
3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each
row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row,
column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will
appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The
more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!
