Verity Banks begins business
Verity Bank, a community
bank headquartered in Winder,
opened its doors for business
on Oct. 27 after raising $21.7
million in capital.
Steven F. Smith, President
& CEO of Verity Bank,
announced Oct. 23 that Verity
Bank received its bank charter
from the Georgia Department
of Banking and Finance.
Verity Bank is located at 94
West Athens Street in down
town Winder. Grand opening
festivities are scheduled to take
place during the week of Nov.
17-21. Directors for Verity

RMS to present 1 Alice in Wonderland ’
The Russell Middle School eighth grade
drama class will present Disney's ‘Alice in
Wonderland” on Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov.
22 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Colleen
Williams Theater in the Winder Cultural Arts
Center.
Tickets can be purchased at Russell Middle
School for $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Tickets sold at the door will be $7 for adults
and $5 for children.
