The Church of Jesus Christ, Winder,
will host a gospel singing Saturday,
Nov. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. “Canaan
Bound" and “Crystal River,” formerly
known as “Chozen," will be featured.

lowship hall after the singing. For more

Cornerstone of Hope Ministries,
Winder, will host a free worship gospel
festival Sunday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. The
church is new but not a new ministry
and is non-denominational and multi
cultural, leaders state.

Bethlehem First United Methodist
Church will have its annual Love Lights
service on Sunday, Nov. 30. Candles
are lit during the service in memory of

Barrow Worship Center will host
“Kid’s Day” Sunday, Nov. 30, at
10:30 a.m. featuring the “Good News
Gang.” There will be music, games,
prizes and stories with a message for
kids of all ages. “Kids, and those who
were once kids, are invited to come and
experience worship on a different level,"
stated Bobby Smith, the children’s pas

Union Baptist Church, Winder, will

Herndon will be in concert. Friday and

choir will present “The Christmas

Auburn, will hold a Christmas bazaar
and bake sale Friday, Dec. 5, from 6 to

kets, and baked goods will be available.

money raised will go to those in need.

St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church,
Winder, will hold its annual Christmas
Market Sunday, Dec. 7, from 12 p.m. to
5 p.m. Handcrafted items and food will
be available for purchase. The holiday
luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. and the cost is $6.50 per
person. Father Christmas will be avail
able for holiday photo sittings from 3 to

MR. AND MRS. HUGHES
Whiddon, Hughes wed
Ashley Lynn Whiddon and Jonathan Zachary Hughes were
united in marriage on Oct. 4, 2008, at the home of the bride’s
mother. Judge Michael Strickland officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Susan Treadwell and Frank
Giles, and Gary Whiddon, all of Winder. The groom is the son
of Laverne and Jeff Grissom, Hoschton, and John and Jeannie
Hughes, Flowery Branch.
Page Bradley, Winder, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Danielle Bentley, Amanda Sacci, Carrie
Hilley, Kori Kilgore, Jordan Hughes, and Christina Beggs.
Lindsay Bradley, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.
Flower girls were Taylor Hughes, daughter of the groom and
Dayton Power.
Derrick Kilgore served as best man. Groomsmen were Logan
Bowman, Heath Bowman, Russell McCracken, Ryan Daniel,
Ryne Caldwell and Shane Brownlee. Logan Bradley, nephew
of the bride, was junior groomsman.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grandparents of the
groom and held at the home of the bride’s mother.
The wedding music was provided by Carroll Eddleman.
The Blast Band of Atlanta provided the music at the recep
tion.
The couple resides in Jefferson.
