HOLIDAY MUSICAL
Students at County Line Elementary School had the chance to enjoy the musical production of “Christmas at the
O.K. Corral” recently. Photos by Jessica Brown
CLES students present
western holiday musical
In a delightful western holiday musi
cal, County Line Elementary School’s
4th and 5th grades recently present
ed, “Christmas at the O.K. Corral”
under the direction of James Tanner,
music teacher with set design by Kathy
Walters, art teacher.
The western-themed musical opens
with the frontier townspeople and their
animals gathered at the O.K. Corral
near a small town called Snowy Gulch.
With much anticipation and excite
ment all of the townspeople have
arrived to decorate for the upcoming
BIG Christmas festival.
It was Christmas Eve in the 1800s and
Bubble Gum Bart, the bad guy, did his
rootin-tootin’ best to stop Christmas.
Luckily, his efforts were thwarted by
the Candy Cane Kid, who courageously
stood up to him and saved Christmas in
the Old West!
Under the western moon and stars,
the entire cast and chorus declare,
“Christmas in the West — is the best, is
the best! Yippee yi yo wo!”
“Christmas at the O.K. Corral” was
written by Teresa Jennings.
The characters were: Bubble Gum
Bart played by A.J. Piccinone and
Antonio Santibanez; Candy Cane Kid
played by Destiny Sanchez and Mathew
Meyer; Mrs. Mayor played by Caroline
Cook and Tori McMillan; Mayor played
by Tajir White and Brock Moon; Ralph
Reindeer played by Huston Bruce and
Calynn Singleton.
Also, Betsy Bookworm played by
Kaitlyn Roberts and Emily McGee;
Scoop played by Casey Bottorff and
Paige Skinner; Santa Claus played
by Power Evans and Austin Bennett;
Ironsides played by Christopher Free
and Jacqueline Schich; Quickwhiskers
