JCSO incidents - Hoschton and Braselton
Man reports elderly abuse in Hoschton
A man reported his elderly parents are possibly being
abused by his aunt in Hoschton.
Officers with the Jackson County Sheriffs Office
were called for threats and elderly abuse on Kiley
Drive. The complainant said his aunt moved in with
his elderly parents last year and refused to move out.
The woman reportedly “takes advantage” of the
couple and their “good will” by threatening suicide
when she doesn't get her way. In a recent incident, the
woman said she’d kill herself if the couple didn’t give
her $300.
The complainant said he’s afraid the woman will
hurt or kill his parents during one of her outbursts. She
reportedly had to be previously restrained from attack
ing the elderly woman.
According to the incident report, the woman also has
a history of attempting suicide.
Officers advised the complainant on his options for
getting the woman out of the house. He plans to ask her
to move out again and hopes she’ll get help.
