The State Fair.— The Macon Jour¬
nal & Messenger says : “The work at the
Fair Grounds is, we rejoiee to learn pit
greasing rapidly and satisfactorily, and
there ia no doubt that all the preparations
will bo complete several days before the
admirable opening of the Fair. The race track is
and is now being rolled, so
that it will bo in excellent condition by
the time it is needed- The external fence
is almost 'finishod, and the internal ar¬
rangements rrble are going forward with dcsi
requirements speed and ample provision for the
of tho exhibited and visi¬
tors. Thcro need be no apprehension that
everything will not be in readiness before
the Fair commence. Judging from the
general tone ef the Macon papers, Secreta¬
ry Lewis has by no means been idle, but
will have everything arranged in a most
creditable manner tor the forthcoming
exhibition, which it is confidently believ¬
ed will bo one of the most brilliant that
ever took place in any of the Southern
States. It is expected that not less than
thirty thousand people will be in attend¬
ance. East Many will be there from the North,
and West, while this State will send
whole brigades from a most every county
In connection wilh this matter we print
another circular from Secretary Lewis,
which we find in the Telegraph of Yester¬
day :
Office State Agricultural S CIE
ty, Macon, October 28, 1869.
The Secretary of the State Agricultu¬
ral Society is pleased to announced that
the application made through Col Morrill,
to the Secretary of War, with the approve
ing endorsement of Gen. Terry, in com*
mand of the Department of Georgia, Ala¬
bama and Florida, for the United States
arm}- tents for the use of the County Agri¬
cultural Society, has been granted. The
Societies will be permitted the use of them
by tho payment of the expenses of trans¬
portation proabably not 82 per tenr.
It is believed there will be enough of
these tents to accommodate the students
of Universities and Colleges of the State,
who comes as such in bodies, and report
to the Secretary.

OR J. BRADFIELO’S
Female Regulator!
HOMAN’S BEST FRIEND!
rgMilS VALUABLE MEDICINE is prepared
J for WOMEN exclusively, and to be used by
women only. It is adapted especially to those
cases where the womb is disordered, and will
cure any irregularity in the “ menses,” except
in such cases as require a surgical operation.
As these lust arc very rare, the FEMALE
REGULATOR, is of almost universal applica.
tion. In a sudden check ef the “monthly
courses” from cold,, trouble of mind or like
cause, it acts like a charm, by kkstokino TUB
DISCHARGE in every instance, thus relieving
the fever, headache, pain in the small of the
back and “lower stomach,” flushes of heat
about the face, and chilly sensations, burning of
the eyelids, general res/leness. Taken in
time, all these symptoms pass away immedi¬
ately, Frequently, without injury to the constitution.—
however, if the proper remedyis
not applied in time, the disease becomes chro¬
nic, and the foundation‘laid for numberless
evils to the constitution of the woman. The
next “ turn” comes around and there is no
“show,” or perhaps the “whites” will ap.
pear. There will be some uneasiness about
the womb, but very little or nose of the natu
ral fluid escaping. The complexion becomes
sallow, bowels swollen, a sort of greenish caste
about the face, constant dull, aching pain in
the head, weight in tho lower stomach and
back, with or without whites, palpitation ot
the heart, pallor, exhaustion, indigestion,
weariness, langor, aching across the loins, loss
of appetite, pain in left breast, tightness
across the chest, cough and giddiness. If still
allowed to go on, “green sickness” will be
fully developed ; the headache becomes se¬
vere, with loss of memory, diminished sensi.
bility, sick stomach, dyspepsia, no relish
for food, loss of flesh, increased fluttering
the heart, swelling of the feet, legs and
body, aud occasional spitting of blood The
slightest effort causes hurried breathing,
almost to suffocation. The skin is flabby and
lias a “doughy leel.” This is a sad picture,
but it is the condition of thousands of Women
between the ages of fifteen and forty-five, who
arc brought to the grave by iguprance tr Be¬
gleet to take the proper remedy.
To all who are afflicted with any of the
symptoms above mentioned, in connection with
earnestly rn irregularity of the “monthly sickness,” we
say, TAKE DR. J. BIIADFIELD’S
b LMALE REGULATOR. A few ounces ta¬
ken, you will at once experience its benefit,
and with a little patience you will be fully re¬
stored to health.
Tiiis remedy has been extensively used for
upward of twenty years by many ef the most
experienced and successful pi ysici nns in
Georgia. No family should be without two or
three bottles.
We repeat, that DR. J. BRADFIELD’S
FEMALE REGULATOR is prepared for wo
men, and to ba ased by women ouly.
A trial is all we ask.
