A correspondent of the Chronicle
gives the following account of a most,
remarkable man :
I have now, in my mind’s eye, a
planter in Baldwin county, who has not
bought bacon this a grain oi corn or a pound of

that any other farmer or planter in the
country has. How did he do it t He
