Entitled an act to authorize the sheriffs of the
counties of Cass, Cobb, Cherokee, Forsyth,
Gilmer, Lumpkin, Murray,Paulding, Floyd,
Union and Walker, to sell all the State’s
hall of lots which have or may be condem
ned as fraudulently drawn in the l ite Land
and Gold Lottery, and to make valid certain
sales of the State’s interest in lots sold un
der ihe existing laws, by tho consent of (he
Informers.
I Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives oj the State of Georgia in
General Assembly met. and it is hereby enacted

of sale under the same rules and regulations
as sales are authorized to be made by sheriffs

the duty of the sheriff to sell all such half lots
of land, at the time and place of selling land
under executions, and tlie highest bidder shall
be the purchaser.
And be it further enacted. That the sheriff
shall giant tu such purchaser a certificate of
the amount of sale, setting forth the number,
(itstitt t and sec ion in which said land may be
situate, with a plan of the Slate’s half of such
lot.
And be it further enacted, That the holder

Suet) sale have the right to dejmsite his note,
<or ihe amount of sale, in the Central Bank
of Georgia, under snch rules as ihe Bank shall
deem secure.
And be it further enacted, That when such
pun baser shall deposit his note, as aforesaid,
it shall be the dmy of the officers of the Cen
tral Bank to give such person a certificate,
sliwewtDg- the amount ho has paid in Bank,
being the full amount ot the sale of such half
lot, here giving the number of district and
' section.
1 And be it further enacted, That his excel
lency the Governor shall issue his order to the
Burveyor General, io let the Grant issue with-
I out further cost.
And be it farther enacted, That the sheriffs
| aforesaid shall be entitled to five per centum
on the amount of all such sales, besides the
j usual adv- r t*ing fees.
I And be it further enacted, That, upon the
returns ol me stiaiiff i<> the Executive De
paitment, it shall be ihe duty ofhis excellency
the Governor io draw Ins warrant on tho

And be it further enacted, That all sales
