GSGA conducts 18 state wide competitions for men and women of all age groups, four interstate matches and 17 USGA qualifying events each year. After a flyout, Sasser walked and Justin Hickman singled home Alexander. Another error enabled Josh Ayer to reach and Sasser to score before Adam Thompson doubled to plate Hickman. Ayer then scored on a fielder’s choice to round out the Eagles’ scoring for the inning. With the score now 10-3, however, they then added two more in the top of the fifth. Blaine was able to tag, however, and score on the play. Smith then reached on an error but the next hitter Irwin took an “I didn’t mean to” swing at the first pitch.
