NORTH GEORGIA Unicoi Station Celebration Aug. 4, 8 - 9 p.m. Aug. 5, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Unicoi State Park and Lodge - Helen This event is in honor of the 75th Anniversary of Georgia State Parks. Celebrate Unicoi’s history as “Unicoi Station” with dem onstrations on candle dip ping, cider makin’ and spin ning. Call CC Vann of Warner Robins has just published a faith based novel, “Can’t Let Go,” which is set in the rural south, and is the story of a single mother’s trials and tribulations. Smithgall Woods Conservation Area and Lodge - Helen Enjoy a walk on the one and a half mile Martin Mine Trail and learn about the history of gold mining at this site.
