State College-Warner Robins Campus was recently awarded the Clean Campus Award by the Keep Warner Robins Beautiful committee. Kroger giving $ 1 million to schools throughout the Southeast Special to the Journal To show its continued commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, Kroger, according to a release, will contribute $1 million to schools through out the Southeast. Through its annual Earning Plus Learning pro gram, participants can use their Kroger Plus Card to raise funds for the school of their choice for the 2006- 2007 school year (one school per household). Beginning Tuesday, schools can enroll in the program by visiting their local Kroger store, returning the packet sent to them by Kroger, or by visiting the website, www. krogerearningpluslearning. com, and submitting the Beautiful places school application form. Once enrolled, parents can link their cards to their school of choice by pre senting a letter from their child’s school, along with their shopper’s Kroger Plus Card at their neighborhood Kroger location. Each school is identified through a unique barcode, and each time shoppers use their enrolled Kroger Plus Cards, Kroger will contrib ute 4 percent of their eligible purchases to the Earning Plus Learning fund, which will be distributed to par ticipating schools based on their percentage of total pro gram contributions.
