Keith Jerome Roberts and two others have been arrest ed and charged with tortur ing Carlnell James Walker and leaving him locked in the trunk of his car, where he was found dead two weeks later. The two other Morehouse students charged in the death told police Roberts, 22, coached them in the attack, Clayton County police detec tive Stefan Schindler said. Roberts’ court-appointed lawyer, Joseph Roberto, said he has not talked to Roberts about his religious affiliation, but said Roberts “stands with God. He always has.” Roberto informed Clayton County District Attorney John Turner that he will be having a psychiatric evalu ation of Roberts and may pursue an insanity defense, Turner said. Roberts, Miles Jonathan Allen, 21; Breylon Wendell Garland, 20, and Theodore Paul Hollisman allegedly went to Walker’s home to rob him. Walker was try ing to start a record label and had told people he was receiving a large sum of money from an insurance settlement, friends said. Railroad trainee hiring boom coming ATLANTA (AP) - Two major railroad lines are planning to hire 3,600 new conductors this year, and many of those new hires are coming to the Atlanta area for conductor school. Both Jacksonville, Fla.- based CSX and Virginia based Norfolk Southern have training facilities in northwest Atlanta and McDonough respectively that teach new employees crucial job and safety skills. “You don’t get scratched or bruised with this equipment. HAROLD OTTO WALLEN. SR. WARNER ROBINS - Harold Otto Wallen, Sr., 88 (89), passed away Friday. He was bom on August 7, 1917 in Delphos, Ohio. His parents, Benjamin A. Wallen and Elizabeth Fiddler Wallen, infant daughter, Charlotte Wallen, and a baby brother, all preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Marjorie E.
