The premise is for ocal compa nies, businesses and schools to par ticipate in the event by designating a McJeans Day Coordinator and asking employees to pre-purchase a specially designed sticker and a “Friend of Ronald McDonald House” wristband for $5, which will entitle them to wear casual clothes for a day. McJeans day will take place the week of Sept. 11-15. The 21,000 square foot House pro vides nearly 5,000 room nights annu ally and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are 13 bedrooms, large kitch en, dining room, family room, two playrooms, playground, and laundry facilities. It was the first time com peting for Angel, her dog. Schell said she plans to continue practic ing and compet ing with Angel in future events.
