with a nine-yard pickup for
Ivory and a quick out pass
to Rodrigues for 10 yards to
the 22.
The major give, though, by
the Demon defense was an
interference call on 3rd-and
-11, which spotted Northside
on the 11.
On second down, the
Eagles were called for
ineligible receiver. Warner
Robins elected to decline for
3rd-and-9 on the 10. Ivory
fired over the middle to tight
end Othman Falah for what
Eagle fans thought was a
touchdown.
Officials spotted the ball
inside the 1, which was still
lst-and-goal despite a rain
of boos from the stands.
Tailback Brandon Jordan
carried the ball and - while
it popped loose in a pile of
players - one side referee
had the touchdown signal
up. Northside was up 14-7 at
7:34 left in the half.
Warner Robins was still
having problems with pen
alties not to mention the
defensive play of Eric Fields
and Marcus Hall. Rodrigues
had another punt return for
good starting Eagle position
on his 49.
The Eagles were spreading
things out more this week,
and Ivory found his running
room for gains of 18 and 5
yards on an eight-play scor
ing drive.
He also found Nick Bass

Buford had to leave the
game during Northside’s
first second-half drive.
Thanks to a deflected pass
by Laureal Richardson, the
Demon defense held. It was
Northside punter Richardo

important plays of the half
with kicks of 28 yards (WR

yards (WR 17).

was the Demons’ last chance
on fourth down in Eagle

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2006 ♦
The quarterback needed a
little help from a teammate
to get back to his bench.
Northside, which had just
41 yards of offense in the
third period, didn’t need
much or get much in the
fourth.
Starting from their own 48
after the sack, Tijuan Green
cruised through the line for
36 yards on three carries.
Falah made another catch
of 15 yards for lst-and-goal
at the 8.
Green had one more tote,
and he brought home the
final point with his first
touchdown at 2:47 remain
ing. Pike had his fourth PAT
kick.
Ivory was 11-for-20 for 113
passing yards. D. Jordan had
a total of 12 tackles.
