is now providing free
showings of a 90-minute
Heritage of Flight Aviation
Film.
Except when pre-empted
by scheduled events, the
showings begin each day at
9 a.m. in the large-screen
Vista Scope Theatre in the
Eagle Building and run con
tinuously until 5 p.m. The
film is free to the public.
Insurance commissioner fines Safeway
$500,000, orders to ‘shape up or ship out’

Insurance Commissioner
John W. Oxendine
announced this week he has
fined Safeway Insurance
Company of Georgia half
a million dollars, and the
company faces the unprec
edented action of expulsion
if their claims handling
practices do not drastically
improve.
“Our examination of
Safeway found numerous
violations of Georgia law,”
Oxendine said. “The con
duct of this company is unac
ceptable, and if I don’t see
a reverse in their business
practices, they face being
kicked out of the state.”
