If you’re innova tive, creative, inspired or just scrappy enough to dive into a contest, here’s your opportunity. The Georgia Center for Urban Agriculture is-offer ing a garden design con test in cooperation with the University of Georgia Research Foundation, Inc. So here’s the challenge: Design a garden using the Georgia Gems. The garden design winners will receive all the Georgia Gems used in their garden design, as well as the satisfaction of knowing they’re among the best garden designers in the state. Students learned about electric ity, toured the HH-3 rescue helicopter and experienced life as a paratrooper inside the C-130 Hercules airplane. ACE field trips consist of hands-on science based activities designed specifically to directly support the science Georgia Performance and National Standards for each grade.
