“By doing the work in

In other business, the

As a sign of the support

Centerville donated $2,383

Other local cities who con

According to a 21st

The amounts were dona

Burke, according to the
AJC article, is furious that
he is having to re-try a 22-
year-old murder case. He,
according to the AJC, agrees
with McGuire that Baker’s
office blew the appeal.
“If Perry McGuire thinks
that’s a campaign issue, he’s
right,” Burke said.
Burke, according to the
AJC article, said he believes
a series of blunders led to the
Supreme Court’s decision to
throw out Johnson’s guilty
plea. He said Baker allowed
actual pledges and $29,500
in verbal pledges.
During his speech, Owen
pointed out that Robins AFB

Weight Watchers opening new location
Special to the Journal
Today, nearly two-thirds
of U.S. adults are over
weight and one-third are
obese; 59 percent of Georgia
adults are overweight.
In order to help people
lose weight in a healthy
way, Weight Watchers will
be opening a new location
in Byron starting today.
The meeting will be held
every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at
Shaping Up located on 119
Gralan Drive.
Kim Adsit with Weight
Watchers will be the meet
ing leader at the new loca
tion, helping people achieve
their weight-loss goals.
Adsit, according to a
release, “understands first
hand the challenges involved
in losing weight, and also
knows what it takes to suc
ceed. Kim wants to share
the skills that she used with
other people who want to
take that first important
step and go to a Weight
Watchers Meeting.”
At Weight Watchers meet
ings, people come together
the courts, said Burke was
displaying “a complete dis
regard of established law”
by attempting to intervene
in a case in which he had
“unequivocal lack of author
ity to appear.”
“They didn’t have to take
sides,” Burke was quoted by
the AJC as saying in regard
