Clues
Maggie Moore signs up
for the Whose Clues work
shop held Saturday at the
Museum of Aviation as her
mom Ellen Moore looks
on. The workshop was for
grades K-2 and taught,
according to a release
students to solve basic
science mysteries through
fun and exciting games.
Participants also took part
in a scavenger hunt dis
covering scientific clues
used to solve mysteries.
The Crime Lab Detective
workshop for grades 3-
5 turned students into
crime scene investigators.
Participants discovered
the techniques and sci
entific skills used to solve
mysteries and crimes, and
also explored the analysis
of fingerprints and chro
matography.

Hope Charity Pageant accepting applications

Applications are currently
being accepted for the 15th
Annual Miss Georgia Hope
Charity Pageant, which is
slated to be held Oct. 7 at
the Tift Theatre for the
Performing Arts in Tifton.
The pageant is held in
Memory of Kenneth Snow.
Last year $2,500 in schol
arships were awarded in
Memory of Snow with pro
ceeds from the pageant.
According to a release,
queens will receive custom
round crowns with pink
and crystal stones, custom
sash, large trophy, crown
ing pin, flowers and sav
ings bonds. There will be
three runner-ups named in
each age group. The win
ners will be presented at the
Kenneth Snow Scholarships
onstage at the 68th Annual
Miss Georgia Forestry Sate
Pageant.
There will be an optional
talent competition, with win
ners being able to entertain
at the pre-show for state.
