Wile charged in
man's shooting
BRUNSWICK (MNS) - A
Brunswick woman has been
charged with killing her
husband, a former Glynn
County police officer, at the
family’s home.
Kenneth James Conley
Jr., 40, of Brunswick was
found dead with a gunshot
wound to the chest Tuesday,
according to Capt. Marissa
Tindale of the Glynn County
Police Department. His wife,
Annette Y. Conley, 41, has
been charged with murder.
She was jailed without bail at
the Glynn County Detention
Center, records showed.
Tindale said the couple
had been going through a
divorce. Kenneth Conley had

Authorities have charged an
18-year-old man with killing
a high school student and
participating in a shootout
and car crash that injured
three bystanders earlier this
week.

Chatham County jail on
multiple charges, including
murder, aggravated assault,
kidnapping, burglary, theft
by receiving stolen proper
ty and possession of a fire
arm, Savannah-Chatham
Metropolitan Police said.
Young was arrested early
Wednesday after he wrecked
a stolen vehicle while being
chased by police in the
Liberty City neighborhood,
authorities said. He was
armed with an 9mm hand
gun when arrested.
Police said Young is one of
two suspects who exchanged
shots Monday with occu
pants of a white van while
the vehicles had stopped for
a traffic light at a downtown
intersection.

BESSIE MAE HOLMES
PERRY - Bessie Mae Holmes passed away this past
Saturday. Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at Jerusalem
Baptist Church with burial in the Tharpe Cemetery. Survivors,
mother, Ruby Jackson; children, Tammie Smith, Lora King
(Douglas), Craig Smith (Rosella) and Alonzo Smith (Paula);
several siblings and grandchildren. Richardson Funeral

WARNER ROBINS - Carol Frances Bray, 71, passed away
Monday. The family will receive friends after the service
at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Elmwood
Cemetery, Great Barrington, Mass.
FRANCES J. PARHAM
WARNER ROBINS - Frances Jones Parham, 83, passed
away Sunday. Parham was born Aug. 28, 1923 in Cordele.
Her husband, son, parents and brother all preceded her in
death.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-laws, a
granddaughter, great granddaughter, sister and brother-in
law, niece and nephews.
Fort Stewart brigade to deploy
FORT STEWART, (AP)
- A Fort Stewart infantry
brigade will deploy to Iraq
early next year for its third
combat tour since the war
began.
The Army has ordered the
