Sonny Perdue holds a 19-percentage point lead over his Democratic rival, Lt. Gov. Mark Taylor, accord ing to a statewide poll com missioned by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The poll found that Perdue leads Taylor in every part of the state and holds a sub stantial advantage with male voters. Overall, 53 percent of vot ers surveyed said they sup ported Perdue while 34 per cent favored Taylor. Eleven percent of the voters sur veyed were undecided. Two percent said they backed Libertarian candidate Garrett Michael Hayes. The telephone poll of 625 voters was conducted Sept. 23-27 by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research Inc. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Haynesville. Interment will follow at Perry Memorial Gardens. Reverend David Fisher will officiate. The family received friends Monday at the home of Jim and Julie Cawthon, 206 Cedar Ridge Drive, Perry and will do so again one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the church. Bozeman, a graduate of Perry High School, was the daughter of the late John W, and Lillian (Flournoy) Marshall Sr. She was retired from Dan Ri<er, enjoyed bingo, sewing and beading and attended Haynesville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Don Jones of Perry. Children: Julie Cawthon (Jim) of Perry, Angel Sapp (Steve) of Cochran, Greg Little (Kandy) of Haynesville, Darlene Blazek of Kansas City, Mo., Tammy Grimes of Perry, Paul Bozeman (Amie) of Kathleen and Todd Bozeman (Christ;') of Perry. Sisters: Jean Cross (Carl) of Unadilla, Mary Bloodworth, Evelyn Hughes (Robert), Debra Carrasco (Gilbert), Lisa McCarty (Johnny) all of Perry. Brother, Billy. MARION M. STIMUS PERRY - Marion M. Stimus, 76, passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2006. A funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. today in the chapel of Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Perry Memorial Gardens. The family received friends Monday and will again today from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Stimus, a native of Rochester, N.Y., was the daughter of the late Peter Molinari and Theresa Nast. She was loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include her chil dren Joseph and Loretta Belluomo, Kathy and Royce Oliver, Todd and Vivian Stimus, Burt Stimus and Betsy Stimus. Brothers: Peter James and Tommy and Luanne Nast. Green was born on Feb. 23, 1958 in Bainbridge. His father preceded him in death.
