BIG & RICH
Saturday, October 14, 7:30 p.m.
4k
The first thing to know is that be
ing big and rich hasn’t made Big
& Rich any less fun! No. Success
hasn’t spoiled them one bit. As John
Rich says, “It has just loosened the
chain.”
Their second album, “Cornin’ to
Your City,” as with the first pro
duced by Big Kenny and John Rich,
shows how far the two have come
in the past two years since hitting
the county music scene with a much
needed blast of fresh air.
“We know what we do is freaky,”
John Rich says. “We know we’re
combining stuff in the chemistry set
that in the instructions say, ‘Don’t
combine these things or they might
explode’. We say fine. Let’s combine
them anyway. We’ll just wear a hel
met. That’s our whole attitude to
ward music.”

JIMMY FORTUNE
Jimmy Fortune became a permanent mem
ber of The Statler Brothers in August 1982
and spent 21 years touring, singing, and
performing. After the group retired in 2003,
Jimmy seized the opportunity to launch a
solo career and continues to tour in many
U.S. states.
This six-foot-five, black rapping cowboy, a native of
Dallas, is comfortable talking about anything from
flamenco guitars to the Chinese language with musi
cal interests that range from Mozart to Metallica.
Making appearances in bars and clubs has gone on
for Cowboy Troy since the late ‘Bos when he would
just jump up on stage and begin performing. It didn’t
take long before the crowd wanted him up on stage
whenever he could make it.
His brand of music is called “hick-hop” which ties
the worlds of country and hip hop together. His goal
is not to tie the worlds together, but rather to be the
bridge that connects them.
JEAN SHEPARD
Jean Shepard is a true legend in the en
tertainment business. She is admired by
her peers and emulated by so many up and
coming female singers. A steadfast pillar
of grand performing ladies, she has graced
the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, as well as,
country stages around the world.
