The Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority is proud to present a super family
entertainment lineup for the t7th annual', state-sponsored
Georgia National Fair. ; October 6-15, 2006.
MIKE FULLER...THE MAGICIAN: The star of a weekly TV show, Mike is a superb
magician. Mike Fuller captivates his audiences with unbelievable magic.
LEON JACOBS: Leon Jacobs is Mr. Keyboard. He combines his musical skills with a
great vocal ability to provide a high energy presentation. Leon combines hits of yesterday
and today in order to always he current with listeners of any age.
ROBINSON’S RACING PIGS: A hell sounds. The runners are off to a start. Each ath
lete vies for the lead. The crowd roots for their favorite runners However, this is not your
average race or your average runners. The runners are pigs . Robinson’s Racing Pigs! The
animal kingdom’s newest sport is a popular one among fairgoers worldwide.
ED & GERALDINE’S OLD-TIME MUSIC: Ed and Geraldine combine traditional
fiddle tunes, fold songs, and old-time country music to make a foot-stompin’, spoon-layin’
good time. Fairgoers of all ages are entertained by Fd and Geraldine’s stories of older
days. They offer workshops, storytelling, and concerts to educate the audience on early
American music and the history that surrounds it.
TADPOLE THE CLOWN: Tadpole is one of the most colorful clowns you will ever
see. He’s also one of the friendliest. He roams the grounds bringing good humor and good
cheer to everyone.
ROCK-IT ROBOT: Rock-It Robot is a giant in the industry. Literally! He is an eight foot
tall colorful character that looks like he walked right out of a ultra-modern space movie.
His synthesized voice and colorful lights demands the attention of crowds.
PLAYIN’ POSSUM: Clap your hands, tap your toes and sing along to the traditional
bluegrass and county gospel music of Bill and Sue Davis. These middle Georgia pickers
will entertain you with old familiar favorites on the banjo, guitar and mandolin, while giv
ing the Fair that good of fashioned feel.
NIGHTLY LASER LIGHT SHOW: Witness and enjoy our laser show each night by the
lake south of the Clock Tower. The show has a special theme each year, is choreographed
to exhilarating music, and includes a fireworks grand finale!
WADE HENRY: Wade Henry combines physical fitness and Vaudeville style humor to
please and entertain audiences where ever he finds them.
MODEL “A” HILLBILLY CARS: Zeek, Ma & Jethro captivate visitors with their vin
tage cars, hillbilly humor and antics. Guest spend endless time trying to figure out what the
unique antique items on the car are and how they were used.
COLGATE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN: Some of Georgia’s top amateurs compete
against one another to win a cash prize and a chance to perform at the National Final Com
petition and ultimately a SIOO,OOO recording contract.
ROYAL HANNEFORD CIRCUS: Although the Royal Hanneford Circus has appeared at
the Georgia National Fair for a number of years, each year is different with new and excit
ing acts. The circus is free to any fairgoer. It features three performances daily and when
the ringmaster calls the show, the big top is always full.
TODD LAGESSIE - STILTWALKER: This most unusual attraction will be strolling
the grounds towering high above the crowds. He will appear four times daily in different
and very colorful costumes., walk on stilts while making balloon sculptures.
HEINZ HITCH: Eight (8) beautiful one-ton Percheron Horses pulling a century old
Heinz Delivery wagon make for a great show. The Heinz Hitch is on permanent display
every day of the Fair.
UNISOGHN (Pronounced ‘Uni-son’) - (October 6-10 only): The best of Contemporary,
R&B and Motown past and present is provided by this exciting musical group. Unisoghn is
a clean cut, group of drug and alcohol free college graduates who have become best know
as professional entertainers and crowd pleasers.
OKEFENOKEE JOE F rom live rattlesnakes to stories of the Okefenokee Swamp you
will find this attraction unique, exciting and spectacular. It provides a blend of fun and
education for everyone from youngsters to old timers alike. After talking with Okefenokee
Joe you might even feel "Swampwize” yourself.
POVERTYNECK HILLBILLIES - (October 11-15 only): Great country music is only
half the reason the Poverty Neck Hillbillies play in front of capacity crowds every night.
The other is that they embrace the fact that they aren’t just in the music business. They
are also in the business of entertaining people and that’s their main goal every time they
take the stage.
THE! BACKYARD CIRCUS: The Backyard Circus invites families to return to the days
before TV - when boys and girls made up their own fun in their own back yards. Costumes
drop right over the children’s clothes, and they suddenly join in with this nostalgic exercise
of pure imagination. Everyone is a star. Nothing builds family loyalties like the Back Yard
Circus.
