Start your holiday planning early with the help of Monica Premo, Professional Organizer and owner of Practically Perfect. Premo says, “The holidays are a joyous time of celebra tion with family and friends, but they are often stressful because we have so many more activities to manage. A little planning and prepara tion can help you focus on what is important to you, pri oritize your commitments, So do you know what your sign is? Boiled peanuts: (Sept. 24 - Oct. 24) You have a passionate desire to help your fellow man. Unfortunately, those who know you best, your friends and loved ones, may find that your personality is much too salty, and their criticism will affect you deeply because you are really much softer than you appear. On the road of life, you can be sure people will always pull over and stop for you. The biggest reward for me, from the reading of this novel, was that it drew me to the Bible and the story of Sarah and Abram. It was an interesting, often “steamy” read. Cemeteries: My father was an under taker and perhaps that explains my fascination with cemeteries. This past week I attended Perry High School’s drama department’s Ramble Through Evergreen, the city cemetery on Main Street. The young drama students told the stories, in character and costume, of individuals who rest in Evergreen. What a gorgeous cem etery with such a variety of headstones and crosses; the Spanish moss so heavy in the tall, old, stooped oak trees was such a surprise; we were told that the cem etery is the only place in Perry with Spanish moss. Later this month I am going on a tour of Rose Hill Cemetery resting on the banks of the Ocmulgee River in Macon. This tour is sponsored by the Wellness Center in Macon. For more information on this, drop me a line. (My good friend, Shanyn, thought I should share this quote with you. In bold is the portion of the quote she provided. Not in bold is the rest of the quote.)
