Special to the Journal An entertainment compa ny out of Los Angeles recent ly contacted the Georgia Peach Festival to request 2006 Georgia Peach Queen, Catheryn Shaw of Perry, judge America’s Cutest Puppy Contest in Atlanta. This is an American Idol for puppies. There are 10 regional contests happening around the country. Miss Georgia Peach, who is the daughter of Wally and Julia Nell Shaw of Perry and a Columbus State University student will judge the Marietta region Saturday. There will be three rounds/phases of Community Events ■ MEETING - The Warner Robins City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber, Warner Robins City Hall, 800 Watson Blvd. A prelimi nary meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the upstairs conference room. ■ SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING - Linwood Elementary School will hold a school council meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the media center. ■ SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING - Eagle Springs Elementary School will hold a school council meeting Thursday at 7:15 a.m. in the media center. ■ FALL FESTIVAL -FALL FESTIVAL - The Sacred Heart Fall Festival will be held Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 250 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins. Parking will be available at the church, Robins Federal Credit Union amd Macon State College - Warner Robins Campus. Country music star T. Graham Brown will hold a free con cert albg with concerts by Josh Graf & Cpmpany and the Buttercats. The event is being sponsored by Women’s Entertainment Network. It will be broadcast at a date yet to be announced. This is the second time an entertainment com pany has requested a Miss Georgia Peach for filming. The Producer of the ABC television show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition “How’d they do that?” requested the 2004 Georgia Peach Queen serve Peach Cobbler on the show that was filmed in Atlanta. Fellowship Christian Academy will hold a BBQ/ auction Oct. 28. The BBQ will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and 5- 6:30 p.m. for dinner. The pulled pork and smoked turkey will be provided by Satterfields.
