MGTC kicks off 2007 Giving Campaign

Technical College
Foundation kicked off its
2007 Giving Campaign,
“Reaching for the Future,”
Oct. 12.
The campaign will run
from October until March,
culminating with a fund
raising golf tournament.
The campaign, accord
ing to a release, “will raise
awareness in the community
of how the college benefits

Partners, Inc., the devel
oper of Houston Springs,
announced that effective Oct.
16, the Board of Directors
elected Matt Marshall as
president of the company,
in addition to his current
position as chief financial
officer.
Marshall is a Perry native
who returned to Perry after
living in Atlanta for 23
years.
He has been a vice presi
dent, financial officer, and
CPA for more than 20 years,
and accepted the position of
chief Financial officer with
Woodland Property Partners
in 2004. He will replace Jeff
Moredock, who will pursue
other interests.
“Jeff Moredock has been
an asset to the company
for the past three years,”
said Marshall. “His vision
ary leadership during these
years in promoting active
adult resorts to the state
of Georgia has brought
much attention to the city
of Perry.
“The entire staff joins me
in thanking Jeff for his dedi
cation to the company, and
we wish him the best in his
future endeavors.”
Marshall added they have
“recalibrated” the staffing
to “vigorously” answer the

and enhance the programs
offered to the students.”

to move forward as planned.

about the growth prospects
for Houston Springs.”
Marshall continued by
saying two weeks ago the
organization exhibited at a
senior trade show in Florida.
There, they launched our
new marketing campaign
entitled “Retire to Middle
Georgia”.
“Our mission is to pro
mote Perry, and Georgia, as a
retirement destination. This
show was the first of many
shows we will be exhibit
ing at over the next several
months in preparation for
the market turnaround.”
