Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Whittman, granddaughter, Angela M. Scott; both of Denver, Colo., and great grandchildren, Vincent C. Vickery and Dean T. Scott. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Perry with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday at the home of Ralph and Joan Dorsett, *llOO Ridge Circle South. The family requests donations to Hospice of Houston County, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Born in Peach County, she spent most of her life in Houston County, She was the daughter of the late Jake and Ruth (Howard) Sledge. She, along with her husband of 55 years, Marvin Dorsett, who died in 1989, was a founder of Crestview Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for 55 years and was a president of the WMU. She was also a member of the UDC, the Home Demonstration Club, and the Georgia Homemaker of the Year through the Georgia Extension Service. Survivors include her children; Sally D. Bazemore (Ken) of Byron, Ralph Dorsett (Joan) of Perry, and Jimmy Dorsett (Brenda) of Norcross; Grandchildren, William Dorsett, Mark Dorsett, Mike Dorsett, April Foster, Andy Dorsett, Anne Dorsett, Abby Dorsett-Victor, Britt Bazemore and Brandi Bazemore; nine Grandchildren; daughter-in law, Nancy Dorsett Wadsworth (Ray) of Arley, Ala. He was the former warden for the Houston County correctional facility. Wheelus had a lifelong love of fishing, especially in the Ocmulgee River. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Myra Andrew Wheelus of Kathleen; daughter, Miriam W. Mizell (M.L.) of Kathleen; grandchildren, John Nathan Pender, Jay Blair Fox and Jaime Rae Fox, all of Warner Robins; great grandchildren, Cameron Gage Pender and Heather Rae Fox.
