HOUSTON DAILY JOURNAL BLANKS From page iH their opening drive only to lose the ball on a fumble on a fourth and two at the Lions’ six-yard line. In the fourth quarter, a Bears 42-yard field goal attempt missed right. Another measurement: The Bears attempted only four passes but rushed 52 times resulting in 175 yards. As to time of possession, Houston County controlled the clock to the tune of more than .17 of the game’s allo cated 48 minutes, and the Bears ran 55 plays to the Lions’ 44. The Bears’ Chris Prewett set up the team’s final touch down when he intercepted a Lions pass and returned it nine yards to their 31. A Dodson 13-yard run, fol lowed by Eric O’Neal’s 16- yard run, set up O’Neal’s three-yard score with 2:27 left in the game. Houston County wasn’t trying to run up the score, but facing third and goal with that much time left meant continuing to attack an obviously battle weary MLK defense. O’Neal finished the game with 83 yards on 24 carries and Dodson carried the ball 22 times for 85 yards. Ben Collins caught all three of Thompson’s com pletions for 49 yards and a touchdown. DEMONS From page iB and its last touchdown in the fourth. The Wildcats’ score came in the second quarter. DeWayne Jackson, who led the Demons and all rushers with 65 yards on the ground, put Warner Robins on the board first with a four-yard run. David Clark kicked the extra point and then with 1:46 left in the first kicked a 26-yard field goal. Jackson scored again with 10:54 showing on the clock in the second, this time from six yards out. Darien Scott, who along with Mario Roberts had 43 rushing yards for Camden County, put it on the board with an eight-yard run That came with 5:36 left before the break. Clark kicked a 40-yard field goal with 6:17 left to go in the third to make it 20-7 before Ryan Reid picked up a loose ball and rambled it 48 yards for a score in the fourth. That came with 5:09 left to play. Jeremy Grant also had 39 yards on the ground for Warner Robins on 11 car ries and Antwan Hamilton had 36 on nine carries. Ryan Powell ran for nine yards on five carries and Wright finished with minus four on three carries. Hamilton also caught two passes for 39 yards, Laureal Richardson had one for 25 SETBACKS From page lB “We have no inside game and we don’t handle a pres sure defense very well.” Eubanks also added the team is averaging close to 26 turnovers per game - “several unforced,” he said. It didn’t help that against the Lady Trojans they only made 14 of 30 Leading the Lady Hornets against Tattnall were: Caroline Pfohl and Haley Way, each of which had seven points and Carly Albritton who had six. ‘Protecting Health & Property Since 1976” Peach Tree P e S T C O N T R O L C O IN O Eclusive Perimeter Defense^System FULL SERVICE PEST CONTROL • TERMITE CON I ANIMAI#@6ntROI.* BIRD M V\ U.l mTnIN Residential • Commercial' Industrial mS* WARNER ROBINS a-" 478-922-1221- 1877-922-1221 Ml On-line coupons available at: vvvv w. peachtreepeMontr6l .com iwsgu Up to 10% Senior Citizen Discount On All Services 4l)6b!S ri r Thom— Co Cfn2i Georgia High School Football State Playoff* 42 "o*"*" 7 * l Thomas Co Cent 28 3 Rome R 4 jm Wggt>kl#.
