Children’s Book Week Nov. 13-17. According to
a release, the children participated in various
ways. Wednesday was a good day to “hunt” for

Flu season does not typically
peak in Georgia till January
or February, and therefore
getting vaccinated in late
November or December
can still provide protection
against the flu. Individuals
should be aware that the
vaccine typically takes about
2 weeks after receiving it to
begin protecting against the
flu virus.
Additionally, the flu shot
contains inactivated virus,
and therefore cannot make
you sick.

“James Robertson is exactly
the kind of repeat offend
er the three-strike law was
meant for,” said Hartwig.
“He will have to serve every
day of 12 years in prison
without any possibility of
parole.
“This should send a clear
signal to drug dealers,” he
added. “It may seem harsh
to some, but some dealers
will not stop selling dope
unless they are in prison and
off the street.”
In addition to the prison
time, Robertson was ordered
to pay a SI,OOO fine plus
numerous additional fees.

is the single best way to pre
vent getting the flu, other
ways to reduce your risk
are by consistently wash
ing your hands and keeping
your hands away from your
eyes, nose, and mouth.
Putting your hands to
these areas of the face can
give any virus that may
be on your hands an entry
way into your body,” said
Brown.
Health officials also recom
mend that ill persons should
stay at home, cover coughs
and sneezes, and practice
good hand-washing to avoid
spreading viral illnesses to
others.
