Understanding with Middle
Georgia Technical College
is the first of many efforts
to increase enrollment at
FVSU and strengthen its
community outreach efforts,
according to Rivers.

Georgia Tech endeavors to
continue seeking partner
ships in our community to
enhance opportunities for all
our students. Our mission is
workforce development, but
we cannot turn a blind eye
to those students who wish
to continue their education
before entering the work-
included prayer, an inspi
rational message and carol
singing, as well as the light
ing of the new Christmas
tree on the old courthouse
square.
Following the service there
was a candlelight walk down
Carroll Street led by the cast
of “The Christmas Carol,”
which is to be presented by

sion of the Museum s Mission
Quest Flight Simulator
Program. Mission Quest
uses six cockpit simulators
to teach the math and sci
ence applications of flight to
middle and high school stu
dents. In the last fiscal year
a total of 3,763 participants
attended a Mission Quest
program accounting for more
than 10,400 contact hours.
The Museum of Aviation
Foundation provided fund
ing to build a new enclosed
climate-controlled structure
onto the south side of the
Eagle Building to house the
new Transporter. The ride
is built by Flight Avionics
of North America, Inc. in
force.”

a university with such a rich
history only enhances our
image in the community. I
am so glad that Dr. Rivers
has the foresight and the
vision to recognize what we
