Beginning Wednesday at 8 a.m., tickets can be purchased at the front office of the school. All tickets are sls, and are valid for all the games played Saturday. Warner Robins Rec to hold Christmas camp The Warner Robins Recreation Department is regis tering boys and girls ages 7-12 for Holly Days Christmas Camp to be held Dec. 21 through Jan. 4, 2007 (Christmas holidays for Houston County Schools), Monday-Friday. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. except Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2007. Each day. accord ing to a release, will be full of games, songs and seasonal crafts. Bring sack lunch each day: drinks and snack will be provided. Experienced camp counselors, campers are well supervised, structured program. The cost for the entire program is $75 for city residents: sllO for county residents and $l4O for out-of-county. YMCA offers special sign-up promotion The YMCA is currently offer ing a special promotion where they are giving away one free month of gym membership to all new members. Perry Youth Wrestling Club sets registration The Perry Youth Wrestling Club will be hold registration today at 5:30 p.m. in the Perry High School multi-purpose building. Northside shut down Habersham Central High, a team that didn’t penetrate past the Eagle 26-vard-line on offense, 34-0 Friday at McConnell-Talbert Stadium. Northside will take a 13-0 record for the second year in a row to the Georgia Dome, where this year the Eagles take on St. Pius X - a 34-33 quarterfinal winner against Thomas County-Central - at 6 p.m. on Friday. Junior running back Tijuan Green had 29 carries for 185 yards and two touch downs, but not one of those yards came easy against the visiting Raider defense. Green would break a big 20-yard plus jaunt here and there, but was also stopped close to the line for minimal gains on several tries. “They have a pretty good team,” said Green after the game. “We understood their defense, so we went out there and did the best we could, and we pulled it out. Way Warner Robins 14, Norcross 3 promptly guided Warner Robins back into the post season as the Demons rolled to a state championship. After a disappointing early playoff exit last year, Way faced a daunting gantlet this year in returning the Demons back to the Georgia Dome for the second time in three years. Warner Robins took a big step last week as the Demons rolled past GHSA Class AAAAA No. 2 Camden County 27-7 in the second round of the state playoffs. Warner Robins would have to do one better this week as unbeaten Norcross, the No. 1 team in the state and No. 19 team in the country, stood in the way. Demons’ fans should clear their calendar, a date Saturday in the Dome awaits. Warner Robins took a first half lead and never trailed as the Demons held on for a 14-3 win to advance to the Class AAAAA semifinals.
