An expe rienced Creative Memories consultant will be leading the class in a safe, nurturing environment where you can share your memories with other moms who have expe rienced the loss of an infant. Centerville Elementary School Dec. 20 The Centerville Elementary chorus, dance team and jump rope team will perform a Christmas program for the school at 9: a.m. Parkwood Elementary School Dec. 15 Parkwood’s tumbling team will do demonstrations in the gym at 1:30 and 2 p.m. Dec. 19 A Parkwood Christmas musical will be held at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Dec. 20 At 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m., the chorus and strings will perform the Parkwood Christmas Musical for stu RFCU, others donate items for troops Special to the Journal Robins Federal Credit Union recently gave $5,000 in Base Exchange gift cards and more than 400 holiday cards to the 21st Century Partnership and the Band of the Air Force Reserve to dis tribute to Robins Air Force Base’s deployed troops in support of their “Operation Seasons Greetings” annu al morale boosting tour. According to a release from RFCU, in addition, “in an effort to show our appre ciation and to spread holiday cheer, Robins Federal Credit Union has collected more than 40 boxes of supplies in their ‘Operation Support Our Troops’ holiday out reach program.” Items such as: Prepackaged food, personal care items and entertainment items will be shipped to RAFB deployed troops. The local Air Force Association Chapter (Carl Vinson) has also volun teered to help cover some of the postage expenses and Northrop Grumman employ- at the Crossroads Event. 6:30 p.m. - A Memorial Service at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Perry for all parents in the area who have lost a child. Clergy from many churches will participate. Sponsored by the Perry Ministerial Association. 7 p.m. - The Adult Choir of Perry Presbyterian Church with String Quartet, will present “A Choral Celebration of Christmas” in the church sanctuary. You can bring your baby photos, hospital bands, crib cards, greeting cards, etc., to create a free keepsake in memory of your child. Call 225-2241 to register. ■ BUDGET WORKSHOP - The Pregnancy Resource Center of Warner Robins will hold a Preparing Your Nest Budget Workshop Friday from 9- 11 a.m. at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Warner Robins office at 306 N. Davis Drive, Suite B. Come learn what it takes to prepare financially for having a baby. You’ll also learn budgeting tips, ways to save money and even be able to set up your very own budget with point ers on how to keep from overspending it (especially during this Christmas sea son). Moms-to-be and new moms are all invited, and dents in the cafeteria. Russell Elementary School Friday and Saturday The Russell Elementary drama team will perform Peter Pan Friday and Saturday The play will begin at p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. Bonaire Middle School Today The Bonaire Middle School chorus will perform a holi day concert Thurday, at 6:30 p.m. in the BMS cafeteria. Dec. 14 The Bonaire Middle School Band Holiday Concert will be Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the BMS gym. The school’s jazz band will also perform. Huntington Middle School Dec. 12 The Huntington Middle School Chorus Seasonal Concert will be held Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the HMS cafeteria. Dec. 15 4-10 p.m. - “Walk through Bethlehem” at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. A re-enact ment in costume, with live animals, of life in the village of Bethlehem at the time of Jesus’ birth. This event you’re welcome to bring your baby along. ■ YARD SALE - Houston County YMCA will hold a yard sale Friday. Gymnastics equipment and other office items will be available for sale. Donations will be accepted and people to help set up the event are needed. All donations can be dropped off at the main YMCA at 2954 Moody Road. If you have a large load, call Natasha Gibbons and they can set up a time to meet at the Northside location. If you are available to donate, your time working this event let them know. The sixth-grade band begins at 6:30, seventh-grade at 7 p.m., and eighth-grade at 7:30 p.m. Northside Middle School Dec. 12 Northside Middle School’s Band Holiday Concert will be Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the NMS gym. Warner Robins Middle School Dec. 14 The Warner Robins Middle School band will have its annual Christmas con cert Dec. 14, at the Warner Robins Civic Center. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. The best time for pictures and/or video of the program would be around 7:30 p.m. The event usually lasts until 8:15 p.m. LOCAL attracts thousands each year. Free.
