DAVID JEWETT WALTON _
KNOXVILLE - David Jewett Walton, 63, died Tuesday at
his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today
at the Roberta City Cemetery. He was preceded in death by
his parents, David Monroe Walton and
Omie Spillar Walton Thomas and his
brother, James Dewitt Walton.
Walton was born in Peach County
and had lived in Byron for 20 years.
He had lived in Crawford County for
the past two years. He was an aircraft
mechanic and was a Union Stewart
at Robins Air Force Base. He attended
Evergreen Family Fellowship Church. Walton was a Godly
man, who touched many hearts as a friend and prayer war
rior.
He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family
whom he loved very much. His Godly spirit will live within
our hearts forever.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Walton of Knoxville,
a son , David Walton of Mauk, a stepdaughter, Amy Smith
of Perry, sisters, Faye Walton and husband, Lamar Greene
of Ellaville, Janet Walton of California, and Linda Newkirk
of Arkansas, one step-grandson, Dylan Pack of Perry and a
nephew, Adam Duffy of Arkansas. Goddard Funeral Home
of Roberta has charge of the arrangements
DORIS VIRGINIA CARTER MOORE
WARNER ROBINS - Doris Virginia Moore, 77, passed
away Wednesday. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m.
at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday in the chapel of McCullough
Funeral Home with interment following in
Parkway Memorial Gardens. Memorials
may be made to The American Cancer
Society 804 Cherry Street Ste. A Macon,
GA 31201.
Moore was born Dec. 29, 1928 in
Cedartown. She was a member of Shirley
Hills Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother
and grandmother she will be dearly missed
by her family. In 1981, she retired from
Houston Medical Center where she was
employed as a registered nurse for many years.
Two sons, James B. Moore and Daniel A. Moore and her
parents, Thomas D. and Verlie Tillery Carter, preceded her
in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, James
Andrew Lee Moore of Warner Robins; children, Kimberley
Starr Hallman, Robin “Rusty” Carter Moore, Robert Mark
Moore, all of Warner Robins; David B. Moore of Norcross;
grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Michelle Moore, Jessie Lee
Moore, Ashley Moore, Lauren Moore, Jeremy Barrow, Jason
Barrow and great grandchildren, Trevor Barrow, Laynee
Barrow and Clay Barrow.
