as they were back then. I watched
major motion pictures in a place
called The Alamo in downtown.
The sign and marquee are still
there, but the inside has gone from
a theater to a gift shop to now a
place to eat pizza, play cards and
listen to live music.
If players are anxious about
playing in the Georgia Dome, how

about media types like myself who
don’t go there every day? It is still
a thrilling experience to hear the
crowd in that place when big plays
happen, to' walk through the cor
ridors and to be right there on the
field where Super Bowls and Final
Fours have commenced.
We are certain that the day will
soon come when all four of our
GHSA schools are in the Dome in
the same year.
