Flint Energies announces Christmas card design winners Special to the Journal Jasmine Leach, a fourth grader at Pearl Stephens Elementary in Warner Robins is the winning artist in the second annual Flint Energies Christmas card design contest. Leach’s artwork is fea tured on the official 2006 Flint Energies’ Christmas card, which will be mailed to friends of Flint, includ ing legislators and electric cooperative CEOs from all around the country. She also received a SSO gift certificate to Michael’s craft stores. The cooperative received nearly 200 entries from elementary school students (kindergarten through fifth grade) for this year s con test. A winner was chosen from each school in Flint s service territory that participated in the contest. Nine of the 10 winners were from Houston County. Each school winner received an award certifi cate and a gift bag filled with art supplies to continue the young artist s creative endeavors.
