Potter said the review by Singletary and Onstead helps “bring us out of the darkness, and towards a fire protection rating of 3 like your city.” The review pointed out deficiencies in the Perry Fire Department including lack of training, experience and leadership as well as the need for additional stations, equipment and personnel. The Perry delegation received a standing ovation from all gathered at the council meeting including the mayor and council. To begin his remarks, Worrall congratulated the city on the Northside High state football championship, but noted a little sadness in the results of the game as a member of the Marist class of ’4B. jail for the April 28, 2005, incident. On April 6, 2005, he was sentenced to 60 days in jail for another violation of pro bation from March 28, 2005. This was two month after getting out for the statutory rape conviction on Sept. 9, 2004, in which he was sen tenced to 12 years, 120 days to serve. The statutory rape occurred on Oct. 31, 2003. A week before that convic tion, he also pled guilty to burglary and obstruction of an officer. He received 12 months probation concur rent for each charge for the June 27, 2004, incident. wound.
