involved in
organizations

Perry High School teach
ers attended the Southern
Business Education
Association Conference
held in Atlanta Oct. 18-
21.
The conference was
hosted by the Georgia
Business Education
Association. Jean Provitt,
GBEA President and
PHS Business Education
Dept. Chair/CBE
Coordinator/Instructor
brought “Greetings from
Georgia GBEA” at the
SBEA Opening Session
and conducted the
GBEA General Session.
Provitt was recognized
as the GBEA President
and was presented
with a Certificate of
Appreciation for services
to the SBEA. GBEA had
the largest number of
educators in attendance
at the conference and
this was also the larg
est SBEA conference held
in this region with over
550+ educators.
Sherry Johnson, PHS
business instructor, serves
as GBEA Membership
Chair and served as the
Decorations Committee
Chair on the SBEA
Planning Committee.
Her committee provided
all the table decorations
for the registration table,
brunch and luncheon
centerpieces, opening cer
emony and the Georgia
Magic Night.
She was selected to
attend the Leadership
Development Seminar
as a representative
for Georgia Oct. 19.
According to a release,
special thanks goes out
to Kama Beaumarchais,
PHS family and Consumer
Science teacher and the
FCCLA students for mak
ing the centerpiece deco
rations for the brunch and
luncheon that Thursday
and Friday.

Warner Robins Middle School’s top-selling students for the recent WRMS Fall Fund
raiser were treated to a limo ride and lunch at Fuddruckers. Students ate lunch with
the top selling homeroom teachers. Sixth-grade students are: Tyler Delanghe, Jessica
Kozak, Alexis Mauro, Savon Miller, Angelica Valdez and Jackie Wheeler. Seventh-grade
students are: Alexis Doiron, Lauren Gorla, James, Purcell, Brittany Thompson, Megan
Weigle, and Tahlor Woods. And, eighth-grade students are: Brian Snead, Ben Smith,
Erin McLendon, Christina Elling and Dillon Deane.

In collaboration with the Project Agape Love, the Perry High School Chapter of Family,
Career, and Community Leaders of America was able to exceed their goal of collecting
750 boxes of macaroni and cheese for the holidays. The collected more than 900 boxes.
According to a release, the boxes will accompany other grocery items collected by
more than 70 churches, civic clubs and organizations in the community. Per the release:
“Because of the efforts of caring people, needy families this holiday season will receive
a food box donation to help feed their families. Thank you to the Perry High School fac
ulty and students for helping us far exceed our goal and caring for your community!”
