Miss Warner Robins High Pageant going Bond in 2007

The year is 2007 and James
Bond still reigns supreme.
The Miss Warner Robins
High School Scholarship
Pageant has chosen the
theme of Bond Girls ‘OO7 to
showcase singing, dancing,
performing monologues and
much more.
With an emphasis on tal
ent, intelligence and poise,
the pageant will be held on
Saturday at 7 p.m. in the
Warner Robins Civic Center.
This year’s emcee and
mistress of ceremonies will
be the reigning Miss Warner
Robins.

Competition, the contes
tants are showcased in their
evening gowns and will be
judged, not on their appear

used for students that might
need extra help. Students
have been invited to this ses
sion during break, he said,
to allow some individualized

and lunch are provided to
these sessions.

adult monitors, who assist
with homework, course

Scholarships and awards
in excess of SI,OOO will be
presented to the new Miss
WRHS, the runners-up and
the individual category win
ners. Additional scholarship
money is based on ticket and
program sales, as well as
signature page sales. Last
year’s pageant was able to
award over $2,400 in awards
and scholarships.
All the contestants exem
plify the characteristics of
outstanding young women
and have worked extreme
ly hard to make this year’s
pageant an exceptional expe
dent succeed. For those who
are moving along in success
there are even enrichment
times allocated. This special
remediation came from the
principals at these schools.
Benchmark assessments
are a new tool for teach
ers to adapt learning cur
ricula to the student’s lev
els. Benchmark assessments
are given to students then
turned in to schools.
These benchmark assess
ments help the teacher to
adjust their technique or
push ahead depending on
how the class is performing.
Instead of at the end of the
year it is conducted through
out the year. In addition, the
middle school Honors pro
gram is based on accelerated

instrumental performance,
dance, comedy and dramatic
monologue.
Additional entertainment
will be provided by WRHS
students and special guests
throughout the night. The
pageant should prove to be a
treat to all that attend.
Tickets will go on sale
today and may be pur
chased in the WRHS office
(in advance) or at the door
(the night of the pageant).
This year’s pageant will be
held at the Warner Robins
Civic Center. Doors will be
opened at 6:30 p.m. The
contents of learning. Math,
Social Studies, Language
Arts - all are offered at the
Accelerated level. These
rigorous classes assist the
students in preparing for
the tough academic environ
ment of college.
International Welcome
centers will also be a part of
2007. Two schools have been
designated as a sort of one
stop shopping for students
who speak different languag
es. Morningside and Perdue
Elementary are two schools
which can process students
through, give assessments
and assist in language train
ing when English is actually
a second language.
