2006 Chamber Chairman,
Brad Fink, presented a
plaque to 2001 Chamber
Chairman, Jimmy Spinks,
who completed a distin
guished record as a director,
officer, chairman and senior
advisor.
Also recognized were
Tony Bass, Chair of the
Warner Robins Industry
Now Group and Bob
Wilbanks, Chair of the
Ambassadors Committee.

best personifies the spirit of
the Ambassadors during the
year.”

customer service and pro
fessionalism throughout the
year.
The Sherrill Stafford Good
Government Service Award
is named in honor of one
of Houston County’s “most
distinguished leaders.” It
recognizes the most out
standing elected or appoint
ed official or employee of
a government agency for
exceptional, outstanding
service in the performance
of their duties.”

Chamber Person of the Year
award from 2006 Chamber
Chairman Brad Fink.
The award is named in
honor of a former chamber
president who served with
great distinction from 1984
through 2000, and it recog
nizes the chamber member
who has made the most out
standing contribution to the
success of our organization
or one or more of its pro
grams during the year.
The final award of the
evening was the Charles
L. Jones Memorial Award;
named in honor of anoth
er great citizen of Houston
County. This award, accord
ing to the release, “recog
nizes our community’s most
outstanding citizen for their
sustained and superior ser
vice to the community.
“The recipient’s service
activities must span a num
ber of years and involve a
number of business, civic,
governmental, cultural and/
or religious activities.”

Concluding the evening was
the formal transfer of the
chamber s leadership from
the outgoing to the incoming
chairman.
Fink reflected on the
accomplishments during his
tenure, thanked his many
supporters and then passed
the gavel to 2007 Chamber
Chairman Steve Williams.
The incoming chairman
shared his vision of the
year ahead for the cham
ber; pointing to a number of
milestones in the Program of
Work that the organization
will be focusing its attention
on.

The second suspect in the
CB&T and Lo-Lo’s robber
ies was arrested Tuesday.
The Warner Robins Police
Department Crimjnal
Investigation Division
arrested Anthony Xavier
Grace, 37, of 843 Grayson
Ave., Macon, on Tuesday.
Grace was charged with
armed robbery and bur
glary and is currently being
held at the Houston County
Detention Center without
bond.
The first suspect, William
Mills graduates from basic

Fort Jackson, Columbia,
S.C.
During the nine weeks
of training, he studied
the Army mission, his
tory, tradition and core
values, physical fitness,
and received instruction
and practice in basic com
bat skills, military weap
ons, chemical warfare and
bayonet training, drill and
ceremony, marching, rifle
marksmanship, armed
and unarmed combat,
map reading, field tactics,
military courtesy, military
justice system, basic first
aid, foot marches, and field
training exercises.
He is the son of Ramona
