Whiddori'Crosby
Pat and Nancy Whiddon of Elko announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Ashley Ann Whiddon, to Joseph
Clayton Crosby of Tifton, son of Roy and Nancy Crosby of
Blackshear. The wedding will take place at 6:30 p.m., April
14, at the home of the bride’s parents in Elko.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Luke and Eddie
Blackburn of Havana, Fla., and Leo and Martha Keily
of Perry. A 2003 honor graduate of Perry High school,
she attends Abraham Baldwin College in Tifton and will
graduate in May. She plans to attend Georgia Southwestern
University in Americus to major in early childhood educa
tion.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Pierce County High
School in Blackshear. He is co-owner of Crosby Logging &
Timber Company in Blackshear and Tifton.

Judge and Mrs. George Francis Nunn Jr. of Perry announce
the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Gayle Nunn, to
Benjamin Rawlings Tarbutton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
McMaster Tarbutton of Sandersville.
The wedding is planned for May 5 at the Perry United
Methodist Church.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert
Burton Norton and the late Robert Norton of Columbia,
Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Francis Nunn of
Perry.
The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of The Westfield
Schools in Perry. She received a Bachelor of Science degree
in biology from Emory University in 1997. She attended
Mercer University School of Medicine where she completed
her Doctor of Medicine in 2001. In 2004, she completed her
residency in pediatrics at Emory University Hospitals and
then served s chief resident from 2004-2005. Dr. Nunn is
currently in private practice at Dekalb Pediatric Center in
Decatur.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Eugene Kernaghan Jr. of Macon and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin James Tarbutton.
He is a 1987 graduate of The Episcopal High School in
Alexandria, Va. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in his
tory from Vanderbilt University in 1992 and a Juris Doctor
degree and Masters of Business Administration from the
University of Georgia in 1996. He is self-employed after hav
ing practiced law with Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan, LLP
in Atlanta from 1996 until 2006.
