Federal Credit Union employees, members and the community helped save 84
lives through an American Red Cross Blood Drive held, Jan. 18. A total of 38
people donated. Robins Federal Credit Union, through a release: "thanks every
one who chose to participate in the American Red Cross Blood Drive. Robins

Hamlett graduates from pilot training

Hamlett has graduated from
Specialized Undergraduate
Pilot Training at Columbus
Air Force Base, Miss.
Hamlett earned silver wings
with an aeronautical rating
of pilot in the Air Force.
Student pilots start the
■52-week SUPT program by
attending a three-week pre
flight phase consisting of
academics and physiology
training for flight prepara
tion.
Followed by phase two
primary training conducted
in T-37 Tweet aircraft to
learn flight characteristics,
emergency procedures, take
off and landing procedures,
aerobatics, and formation
flying. Students also prac
tice night, instrument and
cross-country navigation.
Each training phase
includes extensive hours of
ground events, flight simu
lator, day and night flying,

combat training at Fort
Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of
training, Hill studied the
Army mission, history, tradi
tion and core values, physi
cal fitness, and received
instruction and practice in
basic combat skills, military
weapons, chemical warfare
and bayonet training, drill
and ceremony, marching,
rifle marksmanship, armed
and unarmed combat, map
reading, field tactics, mili
tary courtesy, military jus
tice system, basic first aid,
foot marches, and field train
ing exercises.
He is the son of Spencer
Hill Sr. of Howard St., Perry,
and Ola Hill of Linda Drive,
Warner Robins.
Hill is a 2005 graduate
of Northside High School,
Warner Robins.
Norman finishes
combat training

basic combat training at Fort

training, Norman studied

cell formation, and simu
lated refueling and airdrop
missions.
After primary train
ing, students move on to
advanced training in one
of several tracks. Students
selected for fighter-bomber
assignments fly the T-38A
aircraft; airlift-tanker stu
dents fly the T-1A aircraft;
multi-engine turboprop stu
