es money for St. Jude
Children’s Research
Hospital®, according to a
release from WHEN, the
world’s premier center for
the research and treatment
of cancer and other cata
strophic childhood diseases.
Last year, Country Cares
raised nearly S3O million
in pledges nationwide and
WDEN helped contribute to
that total, thanks to gener
ous, local listeners.
Among this year’s high
lights, Perry-area St. Jude
patient Elliot Lacefield will
share his experience with
radiothon listeners. Elliot
was diagnosed in 2003 with
pineoblastoma, a rare brain
tumor.
Today, he is 5 years old
and deemed stable. He is
