The David A. Perdue Primary School PTO below recently held a "family fun and games
night” for students and their parents (pictured). Together they bowled, played basket
ball, bingo, board games and participated in many other activities for, according to a
release, “a fun time together.” The PTO also served complimentary refreshments to all
in attendance.

Houston County High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America mem
bers Ginny Johnson, Kaylie Sims and Sara Smith visited Sen. Ross Tolleson recently to
inform him about local and state FCCLA projects the chapter has been involved in this
year. They were joined by 1,400 other FCCLA chapter members from all over Georgia
who attended FCCLA Day at the Capitol. The annual event, according to a release,
had the largest attendance in history. The students also met with Gov. Sonny Perdue.
Accompanying the students were their advisers Nelda Clay and Jane Cooper.

Heath recently visited The
Westfield Schools where,
according to a release, she
read excerpts from her
books and shared ideas
about writing and being an
author.
Heath taught at Lee
County Primary school for
30 years until retirement
and was Lee County’s
Teacher of the Year in
2004.
Her books Ida Claire,
It’s Summertime and
Ida Claire, That’s Funny
are approved for the
Accelerated Reader
Program.
She is currently writing
her third book Ida Claire,
That’s A Mystery. The

from 8:00AM until 12:00PM (noon) at 1701 Houston Lake Road, Perry, GA 31069. Items
to be sold include furniture and other equipment and supply items. Items will be for sale
by written bid and/or by marked price. Property is as is, where is. There are no warranties.
There is no preview of sale. Property may be inspected the day of sale only.
